The Magic of Christmas

Thirty-Three Years of Christmas Tradition
For more than 33 years, we have carefully curated and restored a remarkable collection of Christmas treasures, discovered through thrift shops, antique stores, client donations, and forgotten pieces once believed to be beyond repair. Each item carries its own history, adding to the timeless charm, wonder, and nostalgia that make the Christmas season so magical.
My wife’s artistry and craftsmanship bring much of the village to life. Alongside intricate restorations, she handcrafts many of the village’s unique details and accessories, including the cobblestone streets, wire and pine trees, glowing fire pits, and the cherished Snowflake Diamond — a hidden treasure that children delight in searching for throughout the village display.
Together, these elements create an enchanting Christmas experience filled with warmth, mystery, and the enduring spirit of the season.

Global Calgary Interview with Dave Kyle - Owner of Kyle's Wood Touch Up And Repair
Merry Christmas, Everyone.
Each year, I transform my home into an enchanting Miniature Christmas Village, celebrating the wonder, nostalgia, and magic of the season. For the second time, Global Calgary visited to feature the display in a special story for everyone to enjoy.
While this feature is just over two minutes long and highlights only a portion of the village, it offers a glimpse into the holiday spirit and craftsmanship behind the display. The full experience extends throughout the hallway, living room, and dining room — with a longer, more detailed video coming soon.

Reindeer or Snowman? You Decide!
Every year, my wife creates an “Ugly Christmas Sweater” for me… and somehow, each year, they become even more outrageous!
We start by finding a sweater at a thrift store, and then she transforms it into a one-of-a-kind Christmas masterpiece filled with fun, creativity, and holiday cheer.
But this year, I have a serious problem… I can’t decide which one to wear for Christmas Day!
Should it be the Reindeer Sweater or the Snowman Sweater?
Now I need your help to decide! Visit our YouTube channel and leave your vote in the comments by clicking the button below.
I’ll let you know which sweater wins and which one I end up wearing on Christmas Day. Thanks for joining in the fun — and Merry Christmas!

Christmas Magic for Those Who Need It Most
This Christmas season, we hold close in our hearts the children spending the holidays in hospitals, the soldiers and service men and women, and the first responders around the world who faithfully serve others while being far from the loving embrace of their families. We also remember those facing hardship, homelessness, loss, and the heartbreak caused by disaster and war.
To all who will not be home for Christmas, this video is dedicated to you.
It is my hope that this small piece of Christmas magic will bring a moment of warmth, comfort, and joy to all who watch — young and old alike — even if only for a little while.
Thank you for watching, and from our home to yours, we wish you a peaceful and heartfelt Merry Christmas.

Building a Legacy of Christmas Joy-Global Calgary Interview
For more than 30 years, I have devoted countless hours to building and expanding my miniature Christmas Village, carefully adding new pieces and treasured details year after year. This Christmas, with the loving support of my wife, I was able to transform both our living room and dining room into a magical holiday display — although she gently reminded me that I could not take over the entire house, which meant not every building from the collection could be displayed this year.
What began as a passion for Christmas has become something far more meaningful. In the years ahead, when the time comes for me to stop setting up the village each season, it is my hope to create permanent display cases featuring individual scenes and donate them to the Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
After all, Christmas is truly for children — especially for those who are ill or unable to spend the season at home surrounded by family and loved ones. My greatest wish is that these scenes might bring them the same wonder, comfort, and joy that I experience each Christmas, allowing them, even for a brief moment, to escape into the magic of the season.

Our Family Christmas Village Tradition
First of all, Merry Christmas, everyone!
The following video features our Christmas Village display for this year, showcasing part of the collection I have spent many years building and expanding. After moving last year, I wasn’t able to display the entire village as I normally would, since this year it was set up throughout the living room and dining room — and my wife kindly insisted that I not take over any more of the house!
Even so, this year’s display is filled with the warmth, wonder, and magic of Christmas that we look forward to sharing each season. I hope this video brings you a little holiday joy and allows you to experience some of the enchantment that makes Christmas so special in our home.
