Custom Antique Cabinet Enhancement
This bespoke antique cabinet transformation required both structural creativity and refined craftsmanship. The client requested a custom upper extension designed to support a decorative piece weighing nearly 150 pounds, while still maintaining the elegance and authenticity of the original cabinetry.
Through careful design and precision woodworking, we seamlessly integrated the new addition using custom shaping, hand-distressing techniques, perfectly matched stain and finishing work, adding then a set of elegant corbel detailing to complement the aged character of the piece.
The final result blended beautifully with the original cabinet, appearing as though it had always been part of the design.
The client was absolutely delighted with the finished piece and graciously shared photos once the cabinet had been fully styled in their home — a detail we truly appreciated.
